Decent food but not really worth the prices. Nice ambiance
The food wasn't bad, but definitely NOT good enough to make the prices worth it.
Clyde's is a very nice, convenient restaurant for visiting relatives. The atmosphere (historic aviation knick-knacks in one area and a horse racing motif in another area) is classic (but not pretentious) and interesting. There's something for everyone on the menu, and the prices are pretty reasonable.
Clydes is awesome. I've been here several times now with family and on dates. The service is fantastic. I was consuming one of their delicious Cheese plates and a manager took the time to explain the cheeses to me, and how Clyde's rotates their cheese plates.
All of the food I've had is delicious.
She also told me about Old Ebbit's Grill by the White House which has a seafood happy hour Mon - Thurs in the afternoon, and when I emailed her (she gave me her business card and asked me to) to ask her what the hours were because I couldn't find it posted online she got back to me quickly.
I don't give five stars easily, but the outstanding service warrants it. TRY IT!
Very solid American dinner. Nothing to write home about (but I guess enough to write on CollegeLife), but a nice, casual meal that has a diverse enough menu with items easily affordable for a college student, yet some pricey enough that its worth taking your parents to.
