I've never had to wait in line for more than five minutes (::cough GTC cough::) to enjoy a large, delicious cupcake from Baked and Wired. It's worth the extra buck and couple of blocks to eat here. Expensive, yes, but their interesting and fresh flavors truly outshine any other cupcake place in Georgetown without being snobby about it. Can't wait to go back to try their coffee, pies and other pastries.

I'm sitting here right now and this place is incredible. I don't care what other people say, this is the best cupcake you'll find in DC.

A lesser known bonus: come here and you'll find the best coffee in georgetown. SERIOUSLY.

props to the barista with the handlebar moustache.

Baked and wired has delicious chocolate cupcakes. This is how I measure deliciousness of baked goods, and is the reason I fail GT cupcake. They are very rich and smooth. I've also heard good things about their coffee, but I've never actually had it.
