1789 is one of the nicest, and priciest, restaurants in DC. I've been here twice both times with my parents--the food is great as you would expect at a top tier restaurant, I had Filet Mignon both times I went and its among the best I've ever had. The price is the bummer, since you can run up a bill into the hundreds pretty fast especially if you're having drinks.

So if your with your family or have a really rich significant other 1789 is great but I wouldn't recommend it for a date or a night out with friends.
